Action in the air

.
Two military helicopters land at Hadassah Medical Center, probably carrying wounded.

The wind sock at the helipad twirls around and straightens out or bends, showing the pilot the direction and strength of the wind.

Today's subject for City Daily Photo Theme Day is "Action shot."

  1. Sigh. Your first photo is one of the reasons why I stopped blogging for several months. But I realized that I should not give in to the sin of despair. It's difficult, though.

Thank you for the warm and enthusiastic welcome back. Peace to you and your loved ones.

  2. Helicopters are such a blessing for those who are sick or injured...when every second counts! Great action shots Dina...I have always thought that the wind sock was such a simple but highly important invention.

  5. So often when I visit your blog it makes me realise how unbelievably difficult it must be living in the middle of such tragedy. Perfect shot for today of course and we all wish it wasn't...

  7. I lived at Tel Hashomer Hospital (decades ago) and can never look at a helicopter bringing in young lads again. It haunts me to this day :(

  8. Wow, that's quite a depressing kind of action but good to talk and blog about it. Good photos.
