WOW. You know I love these. Are they both wells?
Wow! It looks like these have been protected, in order to be in such good condition. I suppose they seemed unremarkable over the centuries.

Hi dear readers. Well, the one with the groves was a well. The other is inside a Crusader building, the room where it is is today a chapel. I think it was an opening into a storage place under the floor.
