Looking for looking glass
. Three reflections, all near the Jaffa Gate entrance into the Old City of Jerusalem, for James' Weekend Reflections. . In the Franciscans' door we see some local men, a tourist, and the Jaffa Gate.
Another door that is an actual mirror, at least on its outside.
The gated entrance to Christ Church is reflected at the Tower of David Museum's entrance gate.
This reminds me of "Through the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll. Actually I forgot what it is about, so I shall have to read it again. Your photos are interesting as always. Shabbat shalom, Dina!
I love you guiding tour into cultural Israeli highlights... We learn so much about this country with your blog... Nice reflections, by the way.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to see the old buildings through the modern "frames"!

A very nice shop from the outside. I'm not sure if it is the same where I bought some bibles many years ago...
ReplyDeleteA lot of museums are closed on Mondays - that one is closed on Friday.
ReplyDeleteWhat stunning reflections... all three different. I love the last one with the mixture of language and subjects.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful images you have from this historic site. Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteThat first one really speaks of Jerusalem to me.
ReplyDeleteGreat reflections! It reminds me of a castle.
ReplyDeleteThe reflections show so much of the atmosphere in the surrounding streets! Intriguing!

ReplyDeleteImpressive to see how much history 'fits' into a glass.
