All together for Abba

.

Yes, I have been away for the last week.
It was a sad week but also a glad one.
My kids flew in from Australia and California and all the family reunited in Tel Aviv, that was the glad part.
They came for a funeral: on February 10 at noon their father was buried.
Moshe has been my ex-husband for a long time, but he was my husband for 22 years.
He died a good death after only one day and one night in the hospital, with his two oldest daughters at his side.
Now the week of mourning has ended and the kids are already on their flights to the far corners of the world.
I am back home in the desert with lots of new memories and photographs.

  2. A death in the family, particularly the father of your children, is never an easy one. I hope they can find some peace with it.

  4. May his memory be for a blessing and those which are roses outnumber the thorns.

  5. That is wayyyyyyyy too young to lose a father... I feel like weeping (all over again). Thank goodness your two girls could be there for the funeral and the entire shiva.

    Have lasting peace!

  7. Friends, thank you.

Hels, I may not have worded that very clearly. Actually Moshe had lived a long life.
Our son flew in from Calif. and our daughter flew up from Sydney and joined my 3 step-daughters. We all enjoyed being and staying together for the week, although we did not do the traditional shiva.
Now I go to read your blog tribute to your late mother. May you know no more sorrow.
