Red flag at Jerusalem Beach

.

A pigeon lady feeding the birds in Tel Aviv.
You can enlarge the photo to see her bread bag.

Where I'd like to be today -- Tel Aviv's "Jerusalem Beach."

It was a windy day when I took these pictures on June 27.
The red flag flew at our Mediterranean beaches to signal dangerous water conditions.

Shabbat shalom from the hot dry desert today.

  1. It's the same here Dina, the flags go up when there are rips close to shore, but as always there are those that choose to ignore them.. thank goodness for the life-guards!

  4. Haha, VP, I took the picture expressly for you, knowing you'd have this reaction. :)

Grace in Perth, yeah, and not to mention the danger of the medusot/jellyfish infesting our waters from time to time.

Alice, thanks for your greetings. I love the sea too, but have not been in the water for years.

  8. Hels, and I dream about Australia's winter right now, in our 33 C heat.

Gosia, I am sure the woman feeds the pigeons as a bird-loving volunteer, all on her own.

  11. Same here with green, orange and red flags. Never stopped me from bathing yet.

As for that stupid woman, I cannot but agree with Birdman. Let her clean the mess on my balcony and windowsills EVERY day.

  12. Sigh... I feel like I'm in a HOT HUMID desert right now. Hmmm... No not a desert. That would be dry heat. I'm more like in a jungle with no trees. Yuck!
