Walnuts on the radiator

.

In a nice shop for cooking and baking equipment in Vienna.
At the Christmas markets I saw plenty of chestnuts being roasted.
But this was my first time to see walnuts being dried on a radiator.

  2. Never knew that walnuts needed to be dried. Interesting, and why not on the radiator!! Of course, we don't have radiators in our homes here in SoCal. I wonder what people do here. There are walnut trees, that I know.

  4. Why not, Dina? If they are dry, they are much easier to crack.
