Thanks to Shadow Shot Sunday I am starting to appreciate some shadows more than the "real" thing.
Wonder what Plato would say to that.

Pictures of life in Jerusalem and the Jerusalem Hills. And since August 2013 also a look at the northern Negev, my new home.
Great shadow image and an interesting linking to the biblical parable.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! «Louis», like Martha, likes the link to the parable.
ReplyDeleteMartha, Louis, wait! I have to confess--in the title I was just playing around with Plato's Allegory of the Cave. I wasn't even thinking (consciously, at least) of the N.T. parable of the ten virgins or the one about the lamp under a bushel.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shadow, and you're right, it's more intriguing than the original.

The church lamp shadow details the lamp's shape far more interestingly than the original! Great capture!
ReplyDeleteDelightful, Dina. I love the sparkles in the original and the dignity of the shadow.

It is indeed a shadow's life to exist along with light.
ReplyDeleteTowards a bright and kind time, to set on a light, Christmas might just be right.
Please have a good Sunday.
A lot of churches may have different shadows, but yours put a light on things.
ReplyDeletePlato would say, "By George,I think she's got it!" Or was somebody else?:)
ReplyDeleteSHADOW, WILL YOU?
Shadow, will you always be
Here where I can always see
What you do and how you play?
Or will you just slip away?

ReplyDeleteThat is truly a beautiful shadow. I often find I like the shadows better than I do the original object.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Dina!
ReplyDeleteI just saw your caption, "Peeping Tom." LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteLovely image. I love the lamp shot. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteStupendous. And since it's all part of the church...quite awe inspiring too.
ReplyDeleteOff the Pier...shadows is my link, if you'd care to view.
