Hmmm... Reminds me of when we were in Turkey.
That tower was built about the same year some of my ancestors came to America. My, what a huge amount of history has taken place since then in both locales! And think of all the prayers that have been prayed during that time too.
Time passes... Livorno as city is about the same age!
Some of my ancestors also came to America (from England) around that time. It's amazing how long those ancient stone structures survive. Great photo of the old minaret against the soft blue and white sky!

Hi again... Just wanted to tell you that Jon mentioned how in Bangladesh lots of the people he's met are a bit cranky from the fasting.
I visited Egypt on Ramadan and learned so much!
