Last supper

.

This buffet table in a forest was actually for a "birthday party" in honor of an archaeologist friend who had died earlier in that year.

But tonight, it being Maundy Thursday for my Christian friends, the long table somehow looks more like the Last Supper, the one that took place in Jerusalem a long time ago.

  1. It looks very inviting even if I feel very old suddenly! :-)

  2. Ciel, at the beginning of the Jewish Pesach seder, we recite "Let all who are hungry, come and eat; all who are needy come and celebrate Passover."

So I'm glad you feel the table is inviting.
    See some nice ideas here:

  3. It looks almost magical in the dark with the candles, like A Midsummer Night's Dream :)

  5. This is a very great photo! It pictures a holy occasion.

Our Minister read the main question of your Pesach several times : "Why is this night different from all other nights?"
She also read the story of Mozes and the people of Israel leaving Egypt on their way to freedom.Every time, when it is read it is an emotional moment.
Today I am going to listen to the Passion of St.Matthew by J.S.Bach like I always do on Good Friday.
