Not easy to find an Advent wreath down here in the Negev desert.
Instead I give you pilgrims' candles from up on Calvary, in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
They illumine a beautiful capital atop an ancient column.

ReplyDeleteVP, in America they call the candles + greenery an Advent wreath. One candle is lit on the first Sunday of Advent, two on the second Sunday, etc. It's like a Christian Chanuka menorah. :)

The old capital was indeed beautifully sculpted. And it has survived very well.
