Y'all's love of maps and globes was fun to read about in your comments to an earlier post. So I give you this picture from a Tel Aviv store window. If you get past the awful reflections and the neon lights, you can just make out Africa, the Americas, and Australia.
Can you believe?! It's a shower curtain!
Years ago National Geographic inserts and other kinds of maps covered the walls of our little WC. Consequently my kids grew up knowing and loving geography.
Now I'm thinking that contemplating the world map could be even more fun while showering or bathing!

I would love that shower curtain. I too have a fascination with maps, caught from my husband know doubt who used to be a navigator when I met him. Great photo!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a geography bathroom!
ReplyDeleteI love maps and I love that shower curtain.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great thing to do. Learning geography while taking a shower!
ReplyDeleteI adore seeing the world. What a fantastic thing, to have maps utilized more prominently!
ReplyDeleteYes, I thought it was a shower curtain! Nice shot!

ReplyDeletei love these kinds of curtains, so informative and educational
ReplyDeleteI love the title! And I loved maps as I grew up: globes, atlases, puzzles, anything. What a fun post.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous idea for a shower curtain! and a great way for kids to learn. Thanks for info and the great shot! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love it. I would seriously like to have that shower curtain and especially to see the look on my daughter's face when she visits. She always said she got her geographic skills from her father and that I'm geographically challenged. I love the idea of showering and learning, ha.
ReplyDeleteCool - the world in your shower! ;)
ReplyDeleteFunny!
Cheers, Klaus
Now that is a great idea Dina! My daughter had the times table on the inside of the dunny door when her children were little, I can see how a map of the world can be just as stimulating!
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid my shower is too narrow, Australia would touch Africa and Atlantic Ocean would disappear ; )
ReplyDeleteI would love it.
Dina: What a neat capture, you need an inside curtain with that one.
ReplyDeleteGrowing up we always had a large globe in our room. However, my sense of direction is still seriously challenged. I really love the idea of this shower curtain though. If I ever see one, I'd be really tempted to buy one for my granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good present. I would love to have that in my bathroom and learn more about geography in between lather and rinse :)
ReplyDeleteI could not have this as a shower curtain - I would never get out the bath for reading it.
ReplyDeleteIf one stays at the WC for long, then for sure one learns a lot of the geography... :)
ReplyDeleteI love this, learning and showering at the same time is a worldly idea.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture with the buildings.
That makes an interesting photo. Thanks for sharing it. Without your information it would have been hard if not impossible to determine how the photo was taken.
ReplyDeleteIt's great having maps posted in the bathroom - a great way to pass the time in an otherwise boring position. I've seen this shower curtain before - it's terrific.
ReplyDeleteShowering or bathing with the world within reach, looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat myworld post, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
