A sky full of circling raptors over my village?!
.
We do have a pair of resident eagles that soar above the woods on the rim of our hill, but never have I seen a whole skyful of big birds.
.
And just as quickly as they appeared, they disappeared.

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your photo. I am glad your camera was nearby! Your blog looks most interesting--I will be back.
ReplyDeleteMakes you wonder what they were circling, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteWonderous sight!

That's very cool.
ReplyDeleteIn the mountain's of Southeast Oklahoma where's a place called "Buzzard's Gap", a break in the mountains. I've only been there a few times but there were always several buzzards circling way up high.
That is a lot of big birds! And I'm glad you have pine trees (at least I think I saw pine needles). Pines and hills seem to go together!
ReplyDeleteThey almost look like buzzards circling overhead! A nice change for SkyWatch!
ReplyDeleteWe had a similar experience last week here. I didn't get any pictures quite as good as yours, but I'll post one tomorrow for Skywatch!
ReplyDeleteDoesn't it make you wonder what they were looking at?
ReplyDeletethey know what freedom is!!
ReplyDeleteEverytime I see a raptor, I ask, "What's below?" They seem so beautiful, strong, and gloomy at the same time.
ReplyDeleteawesome capture...
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds so strange and ominous…
