Best when enlarged

Absorbing the warmth of the sun through a stained glass window.

Robin, a fellow Israeli blogger, visited a church in Abu Ghosh and found more of the same.
What IS it about these little critters and church windows??

  1. What a wonderful photo....that little critter is so perfectly detailed, "toes" and all, against the stained glass. Delightful!

  10. beautiful light play.I thought at first the ghecko was intentionally drawn. In the book of Kells smiling mice are added to the most serious compositions.

  12. Dina,
I always love your photos and this one is so fun. I was so focused on the cross, I missed the critter until I read the comments.

  16. The chameleons represent life and movement on the still windows. They go where humans cannot. So fun to catch one on the glass. Wonder if they have a preference for color!?

  17. Beautiful! These little lizards were called Tjitjaks in Indonesia and Gekkos in Australia(I think). It's a very frienly, harmless animal and it loves warm places.
