Lolling in the warm February sun

.
February is still supposed to be winter in Israel.
But instead we are having a week of heat-wave days.
Jerusalem is in the mid- to high-70s F, 23 to 27 C.
Tel Aviv and the south are even warmer.

My friend Shachar likes to soak up the rare winter warmth on roof tops.

On this other roof she even can be near olive branches. Very peaceful.
She can sleep soundly here because she knows jackals can't get up there.

  1. Dina: Neat little cat. Is that the "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof"?

  2. She looks alert and watching you in the bottom photo. Black cats are really quite beautiful, aren't they?

  3. I suppose the cats in your area must sleep with one eye open for predators.

  4. Cute kitties, I wish we were having heat waves. Very cold here in Maryland.

  5. I wish Israel could export some of that warm February weather. I'll bet that there would be a big trade deal with Washington if that were the case. D.C. has over 2 feet of snow this month already!

  9. What sweet photos. I like the top one, with her seemingly queen of the hill, so to speak.

  13. Hi Dina! We had a cat just like this one, only he was male. He was a friendly, little cheeky, and playful animal. He was run over by a car.
