This is one of the all-too-numerous pay-for-entry beaches in Tiberias.
But at 5:28 in the morning, when we walked past it to our archaeological dig which is just across the street, the pool was still perfectly still--good for James' Weekend Reflections meme.
.
You can see both the Sea of Galilee and the sky all pink, getting ready to welcome the 6:05 sunrise over the Golan Heights.
.
Walking back to the hostel at 1:00 pm, after work, we would see a few brave souls speeding down the water slides into the pool.

Wonderful photos and reflection. Like the first one best because of the sky in the background..reminds me of my visit there..same sky:-)
ReplyDeleteWish you a nice weekend!
Your first photograph is magnificient, the colors and the stillness of the water, just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of the sky and those palms are beautiful. These pictures are really nice.
ReplyDeleteNice and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day.
Enjoy your weekend.
Really beautiful images, Dina. I like the palms and the charming light.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Nice photos, especially the one of the pool. I like that the best.
ReplyDeleteWill you talk about the dig and what period they are digging? And, what kind of things do they expect to find at this site?
Lovely pink glow in the sky. And the umbrellas lined up so neatly are cute. But those slides — awesome! I haven't been to a water park in years. This makes me want to go to one again soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the view of pink skies as the sun prepares to rise over the Golan Heights...a view I learned to love on my brief visit in Tiberias oh so many years ago. I don't think there were any water parks or pay beaches in those days...
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother and Grandma Day!
ReplyDeletePatsy
It was good to catch up on your blog - I've missed a few postings! Happy Mother's Day tomorrow - Sunday!
ReplyDeleteOh my!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Mother's Day tomorrow, Dina!
Oh I love the lighting. There's something about a vacant pool, perhaps the luxury of having it all to one's self?
ReplyDeletePay-for-entry beaches are an offence to the average working family :(
ReplyDeleteBut oh what a great location - it looks gorgeous.
