Contemplating new ways

.
Here's the tram where it runs parallel to the Old City's northern wall (visible on the right).

The new trams started taking people last Friday and everyone along the route of the light rail has to get used to this new phenomenon.

Enlarge the photo to enjoy the stance of the young haredi (ultra-orthodox Jewish) man contemplating this ultra-modern vehicle.
Don't you wonder what he is thinking?

  1. I suppose he's asking himself where tramways are mentioned in the Torah. He will have to ask his rabbies (plural, of course).

  5. Some people adapt to the fast pace of change in modern technologies faster than others... but there's really no way to guess what this young haredi is feeling or thinking as he ponders the new tram.

  8. Nice tram, I bet he is wondering how to get home.

Last year I was in Austin, TX right after they started up their new tram. I took a real long walk and was planning to get back via the tram. I found out that it only ran during rush hours. So I took another long walk back.
