Flower power for an electric bike

.
My first time to see an electric bike up close!
.
Chained to a fence at the Hebrew University on Mt. Scopus.

And notice the flowers on the handlebars. -- Flower power??

Dahon Speed 7 seems to be the model of the bike.
GreenWheels.co.il is written on the battery and although the website is in Hebrew you can see some prices there of different bikes.
They range upwards of 6000 shekels! That's $1636.

Unfortunately for bike riders and for the environment, our new tram and most of the buses are not designed to carry bicycles.
But the bike in the picture can be folded, and I suppose that would be allowed to carry onto the public transportation.
.
If y'all know anything more about these new bikes, I'd appreciate hearing.

  1. We have a lot of these and I can say that these things are extremely dangerous for pedestrians. People who ride these bikes are careless and you can't hear them like the scooters.

  3. The electric bike is also popular in the Netherlands. My brother-in law has one, but it looks more like an ordinary bicycle. He likes it very much, for he has no car and this way he can move around a lot. He is 82 now.

  4. Bikes over here are nearly that rare that one turns around if one passes by.

A safe road ahead for you all.

  6. Wow! I've never seen anything like this before. This is so cute. It won't give you much exercise, but it'll get you farther, hunh?

  8. Gosh, that's expensive!
One of my friends has a foldable one, the kind you pedal yourself. Once folded it's not much bigger than a big handbag
