Lucky campus cats

.

These are not just any stray cats.
They are smarty cats, Hebrew University cats!
They even have their own feeding station!

A pan filled with water and two stainless steel dishes for food.

See how fat and happy they appear?
The white one was crunching away at dried cat food when I came to the beautiful Mount Scopus campus yesterday  morning.

There are no classes on Fridays so the campus was empty and the cafeteria near the cats' place was closed; but still, someone had put out  food for the cats.

My discovery of a dedicated feline feeding station started my day on a happy note.

  3. Lovely! I was always so upset to see how many stray cats there were in Israel. Thank goodness some of them get fed by cat lovers.
When I lived in the ME, I lived in a compound with over 40 strays. The white cat with a black tail was very common. We used to call them ink pot kitties!

  4. I love to see cats well cared for! Especially outdoor cats who have no safe home to hide out in during the nighttime.

  7. How nice for the students to have cats on campus. If I went there, I'd be the one helping to feed them every day!

  9. That's great that there are feeding stations for the stray cats! It's sad to think of all the cats that don't have homes.

  10. What a funny coincidence. There are a TON of feral cats in Manoa by the University of Hawaii. Are cats so intelligent that they are drawn to places of learning?
