Click to enlarge the photo and you'll see people way up there!
Lots of locals and tourists spend lots of money to join guided groups that climb on the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. In 3 1/2 hours they go up to the summit, 134 meters above Sydney Harbour.
For me, seeing "The Coathanger" from the bottom is plenty good.
Enjoy the panoramic view at the BridgeClimb website.

Cool bridge!
ReplyDeleteI have friends who just got back from Australia and they did this climb. I couldn't believe the great photos they got from the top. I don't think I could have done it. Not even for great photos.
ReplyDeleteHi Dina! Lovely to see you on Sydney Harbour Bridge. I admire the people going up there. The view must be breathtaking! But I have a fear of heights, even your coathanger will be too much. I am so glad that you are enjoying your stay with your daughter! Take care and come back safely.
ReplyDeleteWould scare me to death!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you said how long you will be there. I have been anxiously waiting for you to return. And know that you are safe
To high for me. IT is cold here in Arkansas. Like 17 and it is 10:00 AM. Know you are having a wonderful time.

That is an awesome photo!
ReplyDeleteImpressive bridge!
ReplyDeleteGreat pic icon of Sydney.
ReplyDeleteWow! That must be a great view all the way up there. Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteWell, how cool is that! I've never been in Sidney (it is on the oppsite side of the world of Norway) but one day I'll go there. My daughter is there as we speek and she salutes it!
ReplyDeleteMarit
I would be the one on the ground taking pictures! Lovely shot.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful photo!Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeletewow, rather them than me, great shot.
ReplyDeleteWOW!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! :)))
I'd love to do Bridge climb one day but apart from the expense I don't know if my knees would hold up. You can't take a camera up with you and you have to wear a special grey suit so as not to distract the traffic below. I think the guide takes photos of everyone as part of the package.
ReplyDeleteYou can climb the South Pylon (I think its south) much more cheaply and take a camera. I haven't done it but you'd still get a really good view.
Great photo, Heck no! You wouldn't catch me up there!
ReplyDeleteYour down under skies are still taking me by pleasant surprise. I hope by the time you return home the situation there has changed.
ReplyDeleteOoh. That would be plenty vertiginous! I'd go if I could get anyone to go with me.
ReplyDeletePerhaps I would go up there if I ever went to Australia, but just looking at the enlarged picture made me feel giddy. Great shot.
ReplyDeleteJen's grandfather did this at age 82!
ReplyDeleteI love the pld bridge from above (in small plane) below, both end or on. It is great from near and afar.
ReplyDeleteI have always been too scared to climb the bridge whenever I visit Sydney. One day.....
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying your time in Australia. Sydney is a beautiful city, with so much to see.
ReplyDeleteHappy SWF :)
Seems quite a trek. I am not sure I would like it (I suffer from vertigo).
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I don't have to do that, lol. Nice shots, enjoy your stay.
ReplyDeleteArt wanted to do the climb at first. He heard they give you a t-shirt or something. But I told him he'd have to do it without me, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI would be scared to death of climbing up there. I must have been pushed off or fell off a cliff in some previous life. LOL I am afraid of things like this.
ReplyDeletei'm a little bit height phobia ... but would love to try ... hehe ...
ReplyDeletebeen to highest buildings here and in the US.
did you climb, Dina?
So this is really impressing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful building ! You weren't tempted to try the climbing, Dina ?
