"Kreps" with Nutella and sprinkles

.
Last night the crêpes stand was one of the most popular food stands at the American Independence Day bash in Jerusalem.
Except its name was transliterated from the Hebrew as KREP.
.
The little girl could hardly wait to sprinkle her sprinkles on the Nutella-filled "krep."
.
The AACI Association of Americans and Canadians in Israel put on the Fourth of July + Canada Day picnic in Kraft Stadium.
The best part was the big yard sale. Lots of bargains.
No fireworks, thankfully.

Did somebody say Nutella crepes?! A jar of Nutella is always very, very short lived at our house....

I can't buy Nutella, it doesn't survive much in this environment...

I don't like fireworks much either :)

Oh, Dina, I'm so glad they included Canada Day! That's wonderful.
Nutella-filled crepes could be my undoing, however. Yum!

Crepes and not pancakes? But it was not the 14th July!

I remember eating Nutella when I was growing up, and we've recently started buying it at my house! We can get Nutella crepes at one of the local malls, now I want to try one. Great part of your world!

Kreps with sprinkles? That's a new one for me.
We have a few silly words here in Spain as well, such as donat, cruasan...

I love it! Especially the yard sale part. I still don't know what a nutella tastes like though.

"krep" made me giggle. Very phonetic...

Israel is where I first discovered chocolate spreads like Nutella. I was with a group on a jeep tour of the Judean wilderness. We took a break and the guide provided drinks and crackers with chocolate spread. Delicious. I eat it all the time now....
