A clean heart at Hadassah

.
Agam's kinetic sculpture got kinetic again, at least for a short time, thanks to this worker moving each segment and giving them all a good cleaning.

When it was installed in 1984 I assume water was shpritzing in the fountain, but today it's dry and dust gathers fast.

"The Beating Heart Caring for Jerusalem" stands in the courtyard next to the Chagall windows synagogue at Hadassah Medical Organization.

For more about this sculpture, Yaacov Agam, and why he thinks Jerusalem art should be different from all other art, please see my earlier post.
.
For more nice shadows, see Tracy's meme, Shadow Shot Sunday.

  5. I like photos of workers doing what they do, especially if shadow are involved!

    IF I WERE A SHADOW

    If I were a shadow,
    I would seek the light;
    There I would glow sleekly,
    Black and shiny bright!

  14. I really like that sculpture! It casts a lovely shadow too! Thanks Dina for your lovely words on my blog and I really aprreciate all you've contributed to SSS! It's likely that I'll never be fortunate enough to travel to your part of the world but I sure have enjoyed seeing it through your eyes! Thank you!

    Good news is that there is a little team that will be taking over SSS. Yippeee! I'll post the details on my blog next Sunday :)
