Woodcraft construction kits

.
Look at all these Woodcraft model kits for sale at the Shuk Machane Yehuda market!

It could be fun to try to put one together.

They start out as a light flat pack, easy to mail.
I'd love to send some to my grandsons, but Australia is very particular about what kind of wood and organic materials come into its borders.
The model kits would probably end up in quarantine or worse.

  1. Put togheter things like this is beautiful hand work! Things like my SpiderDan loves to do, and he is not a child, hehe

It was a strange thing that they can not take the wood items in to Australia.. hm.

  2. They do look like they'd be fun to put together. Maybe you can find some similar ones for sale online in Australia and send those.

  3. That's gorgeous, but it looks like it would take a LOT of time to build. I wonder if kids these days could stay put in order to complete a set.

  4. I can understand Australia having strict rules...but how sad for your grandsons! The objects when assembled are quite beautiful!

  5. They would be great fun to assemble. I didn't realise that your Sydney family had children. Have you tried to google Aust customs and quarantine to see if processed wooden toys are allowed...they may be okay.

  6. Love these kit, I would like to try but I got no space where to keep them. Organic wood? That's a bit too far for me...

  7. Wow, those are marvelous, so beautifully detailed! Too bad about Australia's wood policy...I never imagined such a thing would apply to wood products like these models. Are you going to try one out yourself? They look tempting.
