Segway in the sky -- for SkyWatch Friday.
Segway tours start at the City of David.
I like to think that Naomi Street is named for my daughter.

Pictures of life in Jerusalem and the Jerusalem Hills. And since August 2013 also a look at the northern Negev, my new home.
We saw a few segways in use in Madrid, but the only other place I've seen them is the Calgary airport, where the airport police use them.
ReplyDeleteInteresting there should be segway tours in Jerusalem. I must tell my husband. (Yes, we want to visit there, but we want a tour that doesn't include Egypt.)

Beautiful image, Dina.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice you think that Naomi Street is named for your daughter.
You would probably know that 'Segway' comes from the Italian 'segue'...
ReplyDeleteIf I ever had a daughter, I was going to name her Naomi! But alas I managed only sons.
ReplyDeleteI shall have to try these contraptions some day. Some day... :-)
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a Segway in the sky before, and I agree it was very lovely of them to name the street after your daughter - ;-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like someone offers Segway tours...I don't think I'd like to try that on the streets of Jerusalem.
OH what fun! Can you find a Yonatan street? Naomi will love this.
ReplyDeleteSegway tours in Jerusalem - sounds really hip! I wonder if segways could handle all these hills though...
ReplyDeleteAnd it's so cool to find a street named like someone you love, just seeing this street plate would make you smile. We don't have too many "first name" streets in Tel Aviv - it's a shame, really!
As always your words to accompany the image tell the story so well, and such a personal one too.
ReplyDeleteWonderful!!
