The 06:43 train leaving Jerusalem, heading into the narrow valley between the mountains.
One hour and 45 minutes later it will be in Tel Aviv.
.
A clear blue morning sky for SkyWatch Friday.
.
I took the train to Tel Aviv many times in the last few weeks to meet my daughter and her family.
An hour ago Naomi and Guy, Dean, Eyal, and Libby took off into the night sky, heading back home to Australia.
Fly well, dear kids, and shalom until next time.

Great photo. Hope you had a great visit. Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteSadly I was never able to take one of that trains: I was always late!

What a blessing to be able to spend this time with them. I hope the house doesn't feel too empty tonight.

I feel for you. I know what it is like to say goodbye to a daughter flying to the other side of the world.
ReplyDeleteOk, this drives me crazy. Why isn't it the 6:40 train? Baseball games here: First pitch? 7:07. Why, why, why????????? I'm at a loss.
ReplyDeleteFriends, thanks for your comments.
ReplyDeleteBirdman and VP, I discovered that the departure time I had copied from the Israel Railways' website was not the same as that which was displayed inside the station. And the posters of the big timetable on the platforms was outdated, from last winter.
I just missed the train that I photographed and had to wait almost an hour for the next.
So it is a bit hard to plan a journey.
nice
