The air raid sirens went off in my village, and in Jerusalem, and in her surrounding communities late this afternoon--for the first time!
Very surprising and very scary.
This is how the Muslims in Gaza show their love for the city they call holy, Al Kuds, by firing missiles at it??
The missiles landed short of the city, thank God, in an open area. Some say in Gush Etzion.
Some friends in my moshav heard a few booms.
So it is not only southern Israel and Tel Aviv, now we too are in range of Hamas.
Shabbat shalom, in spite of the situation.
.
I have been paying much attention to what's going on in the region. The images of the last two day bombings are plain horrible. How I wish all of that would end, but everything indicates that it will be the other way round. Take care, Dina, stay safe.
ReplyDeleteWatching and praying!May God keep you safe Dina.
ReplyDeleteThank you for documenting what is happening in Jerusalem and in southern Israel. I have been appreciating your photos and commentaries for a long time now, but have never commented before. Please know that my prayers are with all of you in Jerusalem and Eretz Yisrael, with special prayers for the IDF. May you all be safe, and may this conflict end with renewed security for Israel
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking of you all day. I am glad you were safe, but how terrible is it that this war between Israel and the Gaza. When does it ever end?
ReplyDeleteIn spite of all the dangers I wish you shabbat shalom.
Take care, Dina!
"Pray for the well-being of Jerusalem; May those who love you be at peace. May there be well-being within your ramparts, peace in your citadels." Psalm 122
ReplyDeleteShabbat Shalom Dina and may G-d's peace be upon you and all of Israel.
I wish everybody would regain their sanity and stop violence, any kind of violence.
ReplyDeleteStay safe Dina!

Dear friends, thank you all. It feels good to be surrounded by your cloud of comments. It gives strength and I feel less alone.
ReplyDeleteGood night now.
I know everyone has obligations at home, work and family in Israel. But aren't you tempted to spend this very time, visiting your beloved children and grandchildren in Australia?
ReplyDeleteI wish my family would visit us now!!!
Be safe, Dina.
Good gosh! Dina, I've just returned from Molokai and getting organized again. I can't believe all this is happening. How scary! Please stay safe. We are thinking about you.

ReplyDeleteThinking of you and sending prayers for protection and peace. DrumMajor (from Kay's Musings.)
Well at least life will not be boring for a wile. It will interrupt the archaeology mind. That's a blow!
ReplyDeleteI hope you remain safe at least.
For a starving, isolated and blockaded place, they make some quite good rockets over there...
ReplyDeleteI hope the situation will calm down.
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking of YOU.
Shalom Dina!
my goodness .. why .. but lots prayer for ALL ..
ReplyDeleteThinking of you when I watch the news reports from the area...
ReplyDeleteYesterday at Temple a donation area was set up to send immediate monetary help to Israel. You know this is happening all over America, all over the world. We are glued to our computers in fear and horror. But money cannot shield you from rockets. First and foremost, be cautious and alert.
ReplyDeleteFriends, thank you all for stopping by. I am enjoying your company especially now, these days.
ReplyDeleteHelen, I'm staying.
Lou, so nice that people are donating. I hope some of it goes to immediately help the Israelis who lost their apartments to missiles in the last four days.
i pray you and Israel will be safe and this will soon be over. shalom
ReplyDeleteI feel so much for the situation you are living overthere... Israel mustn't cave, because so much in the international situation depends on the issu of this war, but the situation is too hard on civilians. I'm deeply sorry for what happening and I hope this will turn to be the last fight against Hamas.
