Parched earth but promising clouds

.

Normally Israel has no rain for half a year, from spring to autumn.
Summer is hot and dry and very   l o n g .
Now that I have moved south to Meitar maybe the blog should be known as Desert Daily Photo?

Today I saw real clouds over the Negev!
The wind at sunset was actually cool!
How exciting.
Some light rain even fell further to the north.
I am so ready for this change of season.

  2. Wow! That does look dry. Are you able to change the name of your blog? I think I tried a long time ago and wasn't able to.

  3. Yes, I like Desert Daily Photo. You've got such wide open skies to record the incoming clouds. Hope you get some rain.

  4. There is nothing like rain when you have not seen it for while.

    Nice pictures.

  5. Oh my. That is incredibly parched, as you said. I do hope you see some relief from those clouds.

  6. I think you have moved into the wrong area for rain. You will have a new type of photography from now on. The pictures are good but very different from Jerusalem hills.

  7. This looks very very dry, I understand why people are praying for rain...
You could start a new blog, "Meitar Daily Photo" sounds good, doesn't it?

  8. Pictures like that really explain some of the things said about rain in the Bible... Not bothering to try and find the place just now, but something about the earth waiting for it?

  9. We got thunderstorms but no rain in the last months. I hope we all get some soon. Maybe in October...

  10. I know how you feel. I've lived in Odessa, TX for awhile and we had drought. The city lakebed looked parched like this. Hope you get rain soon.
