In a donkey in a niche in a cave

.

Today I hiked out to my secluded cave, which is 48 km/30 miles south of Bethlehem.

In order to make this Christmas card for you.
Enlarge the photos to see the little figures inside the donkey.

As the Byzantine liturgy says on the Nativity,
"and the earth offers a cave ..."

Christmas blessings to you from the Holy Land!

And to the rest of us, Shabbat shalom.
.
P.S. I first discovered the cave exactly one year ago, on Dec. 25.
Here's that story:

  9. Dina! this is breathtakingly beautiful.thankyou for this message from the holy land.
I made advent cards where I live and I wrote on the back of my photo -may God bless you in the joy and light of the season so I am passing on this blessing to you my friend in the holy land.

I havent been blogging much over the last couple of years as I have been using the public computers and equipment which is very advanced but I have just received my new lap top and I admit it is wonderful to have a computer again at home
I know I have thanked you along the way but I want to thankyou again for all your messages from the holy land. They have enriched my life. It is so wonderful of you to do this for the christian world after all Jerusalem is our religious center.
wow I checked the link that said-and the earth offers a cave for the unapproachable one-wow I will have to meditate on that one.
    Thankyou again Dina!
