While walking to an appointment in central Jerusalem today, I stopped to look at the tall doors of the legendary Bikur Cholim Hospital. The artist, who was a teacher in the early days of the Bezalel Academy of Art, fashioned the symbols of the twelve tribes of Israel. My favorite is the donkey, of course.
