I just woke up to a bright new day. Opened my computer and Israel TV was broadcasting live the inspiring victory speech of Barack Obama. Our commentators then interspersed clips of Martin Luther King proclaiming, "I have a dream." Enough to bring tears to the eyes!

Great and gorgeous day !
ReplyDeleteAt last, a President we can be proud of.
That's the America we love, the American dream for hope and not for fear.
We were disappointed twice before so tonight, we were euphoric! I can hold my head up when we travel again!
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know how happy I am about Barack Obama's election! You must be so proud today!
ReplyDeleteYippee! I'm all with you on this glorious day!
i agree 100%. may our world leaders be true to their constituents in finding ways to make this world a better place for everyone.
ReplyDeleteWait end see Dina !
ReplyDeleteI am very hopeful for the first time in 8 years...
ReplyDeleteBaruch HaShem!
ReplyDeleteLovely pic of our President Elect too.
Well spoken,
ReplyDeleteWonderful! I met several people today and all were glad that the Bush Administration is over. We hope now that we can have a better relationship with Russia, China, all of Asia and the rest of the world. The USA deserves a better reputation than the one it has got under the regime of Bush, who was so belligerent to plunge all his allies into two wars..
ReplyDeleteSo much hope on one man's shoulders!
ReplyDeleteAt least he succeeds in making unanimity in most of the foreigner countries.
What a wonderful tribute. Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteThank you. It means so much to me as an American living in America that you in Israel are congratulating me/us. I hope he really does bring about worldly change for the greater good...or at the very least starts it! It would be more than we've had in a very long time.
ReplyDeleteThank you again for your support. It is so appreciated.
It's a great post and there is a great feeling of hope being shared today. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for your well wishes, Dina. I pray that those who support our President-Elect will be true help-mates in the change that must occur. I also pray that those who are unhappy about the outcome of the election (unfortunately, they are a very vocal group) will be calm, not over-react and let the new administration have a chance.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting the AP photo; somehow, I had not seen it before. It's very moving.
