A dark sky at 1:00 p.m. yesterday, but no rain for the past week.
.
Tons of earth have been removed from this construction site on prime real estate near the Knesset. In fact, last July I posted these same cranes, but they were lying on the ground, being painted. The fancy-shmancy residential Mishkenot HaUma will be built here.

You might find some brighter skies over at SkyWatch Friday. Hundreds of them.

no rain - how sad that must feel. we've had five days of on-off rian, and hopefully some more promised in teh next few days
ReplyDeleteMakes for a good photograph tho' despite the lack of sun. Happy skywatching.
ReplyDeleteGood capture of what's going on in Jerusalem. I'm curious to see this building finished.
ReplyDeleteNice clouds, I'll join in prayer for rain!!
We have rain practically every day! Happy SWF.
ReplyDeleteNo brighter Sky here, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteAs there was a blue period for Picasso, we, Skywatchers, enter in a gray period, for many of us.
We count on you to show the new building, Dina.
Have a Sunny week-end in your heart.
Looks like the kind of weather we have here in the UK! Cool photo with the crane :)
ReplyDeleteI like coming to your blog and looking around. Very informative and nice photos.
ReplyDeleteHope you get rain soon.
ReplyDeletePatsy

ReplyDeleteSWF#3:Mt. Rushmore
Atmospheric for photography but sad for my temperament- rain
ReplyDeleteLooks very dry. Those cranes against the grey sky seem to echo the mood of the construction it seems.
ReplyDeleteOh yes it's dark, grey, winter sky period now! I wish both our countries will have lots of rainy days so that we don't have water problem in summer! :-)
ReplyDeleteBest regards from Istanbul,
It looks like a stormy sky. Hope you do get rain. Sorry I haven't been over here very much, our usage at work is being monitored so I need to be more careful.
ReplyDeleteSeems like there are alot of dark skies this week. I posted from about a month ago, so mine are brighter.
ReplyDeleteSame of here Dina!
ReplyDeletea foggy weather but No rain.
Guess lots of us are getting gray and stormy skies! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteDina: That is a neat look at all the cranes in a row.
ReplyDeleteWith skies like that an no rain, it must be a bit depressing. But the cranes add interest for a very nice photo.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos - though the birders may be disappointed when they see the cranes
ReplyDeleteI'm wishing for rain for you. We're getting our share of winter rains but there's still always a shortage.
ReplyDeleteVery dark the clouds...
ReplyDeleteI can't send you rain,,but would you like some snow Dina?
ReplyDeleteNew Rambling Woods Site
Oh Dina what dismal skies, bit like here, not so far away in Crete.
ReplyDeleteAnd cranes are cranes, at least until the storks nest on them.
Lovely photo, though.
Take care
