Thou shalt not park

The monastery asked my friend to make a sign to tell visitors not to park in front of the new gate. And he did.
But this is what you get when you ask a religious artist for a no parking sign!

  6. On might suspect some advanced form of graffiti, but I guess it is a polite way of saying: No parking - please!!

    merci chère Dina.
It is unfortunate that you are not in the daily photo because I think as many people as possible should know your journal, it is so artistic and informative of the holy land.
Couldn't you sign up anyway even though you dont post absolutely every day.

  11. That is dramatic. I suppose you go to jail if you park there and are caught?

  14. Yes, it does look like "no praying". Nevertheless, We would have been glad to have this sign a few nights ago when one of the Brothers went to pick up another Brother at the airport. When they arrived at the monastery there was a car parked in the driveway blocking the gate. Since they couldn't find the cars' owner they had to park the car and walk up the hill. The culprits were, no doubt, somewhere on our property enjoying the view and doing things that should not be done on monastery property.
