Brave bird

.
A brave bird for Camera-Critters Sunday.

It has been a bad week in the Mediterranean.
.
A new song parody helps to understand; great satire. See the "Flotilla Choir" on YouTube.

A very striking shot.

That satire is really something, isn't it?

I hope that bird is a symbol of hope: that even in times of war and conflict, the basic rights of humanity must not be trampled upon.

The truth is so hard to find in your area. We only know what we see on TV... it's true. Most people won't even find the time to read more about it in depth in the newspapers. The situation is so complex. This was a really awesome YouTube satire and it does help to gain the other point of view.

Dina: I think you should take down this video link ASAP. Apparently you don't realize how offensive it is to most of the world, that doesn't buy into the idea that Israel can do no wrong. Even the Netanyahu government is backing away from it now, claiming that it was released "by accident."

This video is increasing the number of Israel's enemies and antagonizing its friends in droves here in the U.S. as word of it gets around. I doubt if you and I would agree on very much when it comes to politics, but I'm sure you'll agree that's the very LAST thing Israel needs right now!

Raksha, if you have a better way to get the truth out to misinformed people in less than 5 minutes of their time, let me know and I’ll take off the link to the satirical song.
Apparently you don’t realize how offensive it is for US to now see that the world believes the Big Lie and thinks that Israel can do no right.
Read sources carefully and you will understand that the government is not “backing away from it.” It is the Government Press Office that now admits that it was their mistake to e-mail the link to foreign and local journalists, a mistake because they are not allowed to endorse private PR initiatives such as the Flotilla Choir song made by the private Latma Israeli satire group.
The video has had over a million hits on YouTube so far. The song, with its actual footage clips from the ship, has opened the eyes for some of those viewers.
But understanding good satire presupposes a basic understanding of the situation, the background, the facts, or at least a willingness to learn the facts.

The Big Lie as you wrote above, Dina. I hear, watch it daily on our tv. Of course, I don't know precisely what was going on during this assault, and why, and whose orders...but, what I know is that our TV is supposed to give us information but in fact it gives us misinformation on whatever topic. That's the truth. So I doubt about every sentence and try to find the truth by myself.
I' feel so sick when I realize the bias of most of our medias, Dina.

Dear readers,
I have not published several comments because one was too pro-Israel and two were not representing what I understand to be the truth about what happened.

I regret the deaths on board the ship but I know they would not have happened if our Navy men had not been clubbed and stabbed when they went aboard.

Let us end the discussion now.
The blog is not a place for it.
Thank you.
