H is for Hugh Hefner + Hebrew Playboy

.

There are no photos in my archive of naked women or bunnies.
So I had to use this little logo instead.
Yes, Friday is International Women's Day.

Is it just a coincidence that tomorrow the first issue of Playboy in Hebrew will hit the newsstands?
Now Israelis buying the magazine will find it much easier "to read the articles."

It was launched today in a Tel Aviv  press conference,  complete with a tall model wearing the trademark ears and tail of a Playboy bunny.
In Hebrew this bunny is called a "shfanfanah."

If you really want to, you can see her and also the local girl who posed for the Playboy cover photo in all the newspapers, e.g.  The Times of Israel article "Reading right to left, adult style."

(For today's ABC WednesdayH is for Hugh Hefner and Hebrew Playboy.)

UPDATE: Today there is an article about by the former Chicago lawyer  who recently immigrated to Israel and became the CEO of Playboy Israel: "Why I started Playboy Israel."

I am sorry to read of this....very sad for a nation with such a godly heritage also.

A very thoughtful mean to measure time and life this magazine is indeed.

Having the need to celebrate a Day especially for the rights of Women probably as well.

Hope to see you around from time to time, hopefully even on a Sunday ;)
Please have a good Wednesday ahead.

I do not know what this women's day should include... it always reminds me of my sister's birthday the next day and that's a good thing:-)

hmmmm I don't think I will rush to buy the magazine. I think women in religious courts have been exploited and denied justice for centuries..if only they had access to equal justice, regardless of gender.

Hugh Hefner is a schmuck, and I mean this literally and metaphorically. So sorry that Israel has begun to print this magazine..

I agree with Maggie Ann, sad about Playboy coming to the Holy Land. What powers that be brought it, I wonder.

Women's Day is still very important and it is necessary to bear in mind that many women are treated very badly as third rate citizens, even as slaves. Thanks to Women's Day we have the right to vote.

Oy vey.

About another matter, you just have to see this, Dina, this is just...incredible? Disturbing? Don't really know how to describe this, and some of the reasons for it.

Sad that the honoring of women is linked to the exploitation of women in Playboy.
