That's our boss, fearless Zvi.
What won't an archaeologist do for a good photo of his excavation site!
Many other angles on the sky over at Sky Watch Friday.
Go over and crane your neck with us.
Pictures of life in Jerusalem and the Jerusalem Hills. And since August 2013 also a look at the northern Negev, my new home.
I guess that is what it is. A nice view.

ReplyDeleteI understand his compulsion, but I wouldn't want to be up on that scaffold if a stiff wind were blowing! Interesting Sky Watch, Dina.
ReplyDeleteWhen I see Zvi, I think, yeah, I'm a coward. I'll take my photos from the ground. Great SWF.
ReplyDeleteGreat Skywatch! You really had to look upwards for that!
ReplyDeleteCheers, Klaus

ReplyDeleteThat is very high up. You would have a nice view thou. I am a bit scared of heights. Happy SWF.
ReplyDeletei wonder if jerusalem has a height or floor limit for buildings constructed in its area. i noticed it because there are no skycrapers there.
ReplyDeleteI don't even want to look up there. Tooo high...
ReplyDeleteExcellent sky with interesting composition! What a job you have!
ReplyDelete"Louis's" acrophobia kicked in just looking at this!
ReplyDeleteinteresting contrast of colours between the sky and the earth
ReplyDeleteHow nice the sky let archaeologists look at the earth :)
ReplyDeleteSkywatch vs Earthwatch
I be that building won't last as long as the artefacts you are excavating. Like the crane against the sky.
ReplyDeletePhotography first - other considerations second!
ReplyDeleteO this is different! Love the rough texture of the building against the beauty of the sky!
ReplyDeleteNice view about The sky...
ReplyDeletegood shot, hope he got down safe and sound.

ReplyDeletedina: Now that's really funny, why didn't he send you up there? A great shot of the Sky today.
ReplyDeleteA nice view for you and the cameraman in the picture! The sky color and concrete structure meld together well.
ReplyDeleteNice shot and a wonderful perspective.
ReplyDeleteImpressive and beautiful view from the bottom of the new building!
ReplyDeleteA long way up for a ground level photo! Perspective is one key to a great photo an you found it. I also enjoyed your interesting post on your current dig.

Oh, I'm glad he is that dedicated, because I could not do that. It is wonderful picture to share, however - the excitement of archaeology and the beauty of the sky in the background.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo! I have such a fear of heights, I'm afraid the site would go unrecorded if I had to be so high.
ReplyDeleteI have no head for heights but cranes and skies I just like snapping. Fantastic skywards shot.
ReplyDeleteYikes! I'm glad it's not you up there.
