O happy day!

Happy Independence Day! Israel is 61 years young!
With festivities and the official ceremony taking place on Mount Herzl, we are making the difficult, but logical, sudden transition from the sadness of the Day of Remembrance to the joy of the Day of Independence.
I just have to look past my computer (where I watch the televised ceremony), out my window, and I see and hear the fireworks across the valley on Mt. Herzl. Tonight I am so happy and proud to belong to this great little country!
.
Tonight ABC Wednesday is celebrating the letter O.

  5. A Happy Independence Day to you and your country, Dina. I was 13, almost 14, when Israel became independent in 1948, and remember reading about it in the newspapers.

  7. I just wanted to stop in and let you know I visited Mrs. Hubbard today. KC and I went to the woods to pick daffodils and had a wonderful time. We were unable to get Mrs. Hubbard reconnected online. I think her dsl box or cable are bad. She wanted to send you a message to say, "a belated holidays!"
