Long bench in tall building

.
Isn't this the longest bench you've ever seen??
And with the strangest color?
A dozen teenage schoolgirls were sitting on this mega-bench the first time I saw it.

You would hardly guess the bench was in this fancy building.
Heichal Shlomo is the bastion of the Jerusalem Chief Rabbinate and many religious organizations. Attached to it, on the right, is the Jerusalem Great Synagogue.
.
Yesterday I entered Heichal Shlomo for the first time in my life.
To my delight and surprise, I discovered their wonderful museum and a synagogue with beautiful stained glass windows. Photos will follow soon.
.
Meanwhile, greetings to RuneE at Visual Norway and all the other participating bench-watchers at his "Bench on Friday."

  1. I don't think I've seen a bench that long. And the colors are ... well ... a bit awkward I think.

Looking forward to seeing the Synagogue's interior.

  2. I may not be the longest bench I have seen, but I must admit that the colour is somewhat striking :-)

No wonder it was loved by the teen-age girlS.

  7. It is probably not as long as the one in Tallinn I posted a few Fridays ago but certainly is longer than most. Quite noisy I imagine with a dozen giggling schoolgirls occupying it.

  8. ONe of the longest and greenest benches I've ever seen! I'm surprised you didn't post something about Hanukkah today?
