NEWS FLASH!
I just saw on the TV news how Greenpeace activists climbed 50 meters up the strings of our Calatrava Bridge of Strings today!
Wish I had known sooner, would have gone in to Jerusalem to see.

.
Five of them unfurled a giant sign saying
"Bibi, stop [the building of] the coal-fired power plant!"
.
According to the AP, the action took six hours and the sign stayed up for forty minutes.
The young male and female climbers were not arrested.
.You can see exciting photos in several of their Facebook albums.
They just put up a video too!
.
I support Green peace with my writing.
ReplyDeletecool.
ReplyDeleteThat is incredible! I knew Greenpeace went to extraordinary lengths to get their message across, but this is amazing.
ReplyDeleteSo much work and the sign only stayed up for 40 minutes?! but then, the action lives on infinity by all these photos and postings aroundt eh world.
ReplyDeleteReally spectacular. In a smaller perspective, it reminds me of the climbing, in the mountain village of Bardonecchia, of the parish church bell tower at Ferragosto (August 15th).
ReplyDeleteI love Greenpeace, they're so bold and brave.
ReplyDeleteWow, that`s a nice thing to do, hehe.
ReplyDeleteWish I could do that, with my camera of chorse. Bet they have a wonderful view over Jerusalem.
Wish you a blessed day Dina!
They have a lot of work to do in China, but I see they still prefer places where they aren't beaten or arrested.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Greenpeace! You just can't miss what their messages.
ReplyDeleteQuite a feat!
