Herod's Gate/Flower Gate in a van window

.
For James' Weekend Reflections here is Jerusalem's Flower Gate (aka Herod's Gate) reflected in a van window.
.
Funny how the glass makes the straight Old City wall curve on top, almost like the springing of an arch.
.
The Flower Gate's metal outer staircase also makes a fancy shadow for this weekend's Shadow Shot Sunday.
.
The gate was refurbished and rededicated last June.

  4. A gorgeous gate, and your eagle eye spied and captured two very different perspectives: a reflection and a shadow. Cool, Dina. And yes, I am much closer to you now, and farther out of harms way (although I read this morning that the threat of the tsunami hitting the east coast has subsided). :-)

  8. Your photos are somehow a cross between an education and a dream. Thank you!
(And the shadows and reflection are super.)
