Over the years I've seen some strange things at the Jaffa Gate, but never anything as curious as this.
On March 9 a motley group was sitting silently, doing some kind of meditation.

This too is part of my world, for Our World Tuesday.

Strange goings on Dina ... I wonder who they were!
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't know if my comment took, I forgot to sign in first...here it is again:
ReplyDeleteThat is an interesting group of people, but my eye is drawn to the purple outfit with the multi-layered skirts and the scarf, of the young woman seated on the left. It appeals to me as something that would feel fun to wear with all that flowing cloth.
The world certainly has to find its balance again. Looks peaceful though. Please have a good Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteahhh it reminds me of those wonderful hippy years of the mid 1960s :) Colourful, impoverished, spiritual!

ReplyDeleteThe way some of their hands are turned palm up does look like they're meditating. Wonder what it's all about.
ReplyDeleteI liked the Palm Sunday pics too - the palm fronds look so green :)
They all look very relaxed. Excuse my ignirance but what is the Jaffa Gate?
ReplyDeleteI meant ignorance.
ReplyDeleteJerusalem syndrome or they took the wrong plane?
ReplyDeleteCalling by as another Our World Tuesday participant, at least it is peaceful meditation.
ReplyDeleteQuite interesting!
ReplyDeleteDiane, shalom. The Jaffa Gate is a busy open gate into the walled Old City of Jerusalem.
ReplyDeleteThere are 7 or 8 gates in the wall.
The the old days they would be closed and bolted every night for protection of the residents.
I hope they where smiling to both photographers :-)
ReplyDeleteMeditation is always peaceful and wonderful in this noisy, hectic world!
ReplyDeleteHmmmm. Wonder what they were up to.
ReplyDeleteDina, I posted more about the pulled squash sandwich on my blog. Thought you might be interested!
They just look like a bunch of tired tourists.
