Stand back in the corner, inside Jaffa Gate, for half an hour.
Keep your eyes open.
You will see all humanity pass through.

hello beautiful Dina, oh how I love this poetry through light.

I was really surprised earlier I put up the google translator bar from the gadget section and wow it translated my page using hebrew script for example and chinese also.actually the script not the sounds.--speaking of beautiful poetry through light.and english sections that I had translated beautifully to french. this is often problematic.yes poetry through light.
shalom love and light.
I must admit it always makes me chuckle to see someone in traditional dress of any kind with a cellphone. (I'm pretty easily amused though LOL.)
ReplyDeleteAnd there's all kinds of interesting humanity, I'm sure.
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing. In a wonderful way.
ReplyDeleteI did it a while ago and even took some pictures...
ReplyDeleteSometimes, if you're in the mood and have the time 'people watchin' is so gosh darn entertaining. Just watch the world whirl by,
ReplyDeleteGreat find! I've always been a people watcher, and you're right that the Old City is a great place to do it!
ReplyDeleteI'm completely honored that you're playing along in WWDD - thanks so much!
Ah, the Jaffa Gate. Jerusalem is the center of the earth after all...or so some claim and in a way I agree with them. No wonder all humanity passes through!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great spot to watch people!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture!
ReplyDeleteLife. Maybe the very essence of a door. Wonderful picture, which speaks a lot. Please have a good Tuesday.
ReplyDelete«Louis» thanks you for this fine contribution to Monday Doorways, Dina.
ReplyDelete;-D
What a great occupation - watching the world go by.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and full of poetry.
ReplyDeleteWhen I am engaged with a photography subject, it seems that time stops. Sometimes, it seems I have stopped breathing. I love to imagine your energy-flow as you enjoyed that half hour of people-watching, and then selected your photograph for this post.
ReplyDeleteGreat phot. So many different sorts of people.
ReplyDeleteI do that too, but mostly in airports, and a good writer can already make stories!
ReplyDeleteAll roads do not lead to Rome. All roads lead to Jaffa Gate. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery interesting..I always do - through my lens..
