Harbor lights

.

A few beautiful old fishing boats in the little harbor of Kibbutz Ein Gev on the eastern shore of the Sea of Galilee.
.
The photo is fresh from yesterday evening, taken right after we had eaten the famous St. Peter's fish at the famous Ein Gev fish restaurant.
.
I am busy with two visiting American friends (hence my rather erratic blogging and blog visiting) this month.
We took a quick 2-day trip up to the north to visit all their holy places around the Sea of Galilee.

(A post for Our World Tuesday, with thanks to the team which has kept the meme alive and well for exactly one year now.)

  8. My son is a tour organiser in Israel. He says Jewish tourists love the kibbutz and the fish restaurant. Christian tourists see the Sea of Galilee as part of a pilgrimage and become very emotional about going out on the boats.

I couldn't agree more. What a delightful part of the country.

  11. A somewhat strange looking fish. Quite large and no wonder they fish with illegal nets! Worldwide problem overfishing!
I hope you enjoy the trip, that looks a good place to be at this time.

  12. Lovely place to have it! Hope the fish was good, the best one I've ever had was in Tverya, somewhere on the seafront.

  13. St. Peter's fish looks a little scay, but maybe that's just because I'm a vegetarian :)

  14. I'm very erratic also. I'm busy scanning right now so blog visiting is hard to do. I'm glad I saw this though. Glad you're having fun with your guests.
