In case you noticed that my blogging has been sporadic for several weeks, here below is proof that I had a good excuse.
I was working hard cleaning and packing and getting ready to move.
And today I moved!!
The three movers were just amazing.
Mohammad used the tumpline technique to full advantage.
Michael handled the heavy things as if they were toys.
He was often singing and full of humor and good humor.
The early morning moshav bus had a tight squeeze but he made it.
The most fun was getting to ride in the cabin of the truck with the guys (since I have no car, they had no choice but to take me along with the boxes).
Good work, HaMovil HaArtsi team!

I was... moved by this post! Those guys are incredible and your story very funny. Good luck with your new place!
ReplyDeleteMoving is a nightmare!
ReplyDeleteI hope your new home as green and beautiful surroundings like the old one!
Mazel Tov Dina. All good things coming your way! Let us begin a new chapter. Blessings upon your new digs.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! LOVE it!!! I can't believe how they can carry all that weight. I'm so excited for you.
ReplyDeleteI saw it with my own eyes but I don't believe it. They are amazing. I hope you love your new home!

Moving is so hard but we have to keep a positive attitude : getting read of junk, rediscovering hidden treasures and hopefully, living in better quarters. I am glad you had a friendly, strong crew. It makes all the difference.
ReplyDeleteThey make hard work look easy! Hope you enjoy your new abode.
ReplyDeleteMoving home is reputed to be one of the most stressful events in our normal lives, after marriage, childbirth, death of beloved parents and divorce (I am saying normal, to exclude war, epidemic etc).
ReplyDeleteSo if your moving went easily and well, you are a blessed person :)
I have to admit that my visiting has been pretty sporadic lately and I did not notice. We have both been busy, I guess. Where are you moving to? We will miss your village in the hills.
ReplyDeleteMazel Tov, Dina. I'm excited for you! Can't wait for the next post in your adventure.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, your moving guys are just amazing!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the move. Looking forward to seeing photos of your new neighborhood.
OH boy, moving can be exciting but golly so much work. Just looking at this post left me so tired. HA... I'm so excited to see your new home. Good luck in your new journey.
ReplyDeleteWow, they are not men, they are supermen!
ReplyDeleteAll the best Dina in your new home.
I hope your new home makes you really happy!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo's! All the best in your new home.
ReplyDeleteGood luck in your new quarters, Dina! I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures of your new home and your new neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteMazel Tov, dear Dina. Your future is bright. Looking forward to hearing about your new home, new chapter, new song!
ReplyDeleteI've only seen the tumpline technique being used in Nepal and Peru. I remember some Inca men running down the mountain at Machu Picchu and I couldn't believe my eyes.
ReplyDeleteWish you all the best at your new home.
Wow! Great lesson in hard work and leverage. Have a great new home! mary
ReplyDeleteDear Dina, I send ahead of you blessings in your new home, and look forward to that new place with you.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of heavy stuff seeming like not much by these efficient men!
ReplyDeleteI have also been sporadic...but in reading, not posting. The Negev Desert has been in some Scripture readings recently. The image I have in my mind seems to be a harsh land. So, are you near a town or are you what we'd say 'out in the rural' area?
Since there are few hills in my town, I will miss seeing yours! Welcome home is my wish for you.
To move is always tiring!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes, Dina, for your new home!
Those movers are amazing indeed. I have never seen such a grand way to move a stack of boxes all at the same time - wow.
ReplyDeleteWow..! Can I borrow these guys?? :)
ReplyDeleteI wish you the best of luck at your new place :)
