No, it's not a bomb. Not yet, anyway.
It is just a dramatic sunset over Meitar and the desert a few days ago.
Enlarge the photo to see how the crepuscular ray in the middle "cuts" the cloud.
A peaceful picture for SkyWatch Friday.
.
Pictures of life in Jerusalem and the Jerusalem Hills. And since August 2013 also a look at the northern Negev, my new home.
Nice!

ReplyDeleteHi Dina great picture, have a great skywatch week. Don
ReplyDeleteDramatic is the word, Dina. (and I am glad and relieved for you that it was not a bomb!)
ReplyDeleteEgads! That's just amazing! Sheesh, how spectacular is that??!!?? Beautiful, indeed! ♥
ReplyDeleteMy cousin chose to live in the Negev for quite a few years, then moved to Jerusalem and has been there ever since. He loves Jerusalem, of course.
ReplyDeleteWhy did you move in the opposite direction? Space, landscape, family, work?
An enjoyable sunset, Dina!
ReplyDeleteThere can and will, I hope, be a diplomatic solution. We must strive for it.
ReplyDeleteMay there be a lot of peaceful sunsets.
ReplyDeleteFriends, thanks for all these good wishes.
ReplyDeleteHelen, it was hard to move away from Jerusalem and I miss her, but she is always in my heart.
Changes in my immediate neighborhood in the moshav in the last year made living there not what it used to be. As luck would have it, my daughter and her family in Australia decided to come live in Meitar in the Negev for seven months. They arrive in October. The house they will rent is just a kilometer from the apartment that I moved into just now. I will get to see my three grandchildren so often now!
I hope your clouds will be all as pacific as this one...
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful sun rays!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful, and may it remain as peaceful in the future as it looks here.
ReplyDeleteabsolutely gorgeous Dina! L'shannah tova!
ReplyDeleteGreat!
ReplyDeleteI have seen a sunset in Negev, and it is one of those I'll never forget
It can not be more beautiful!
Dina
ReplyDeletevery wise decision. Living near grandchildren is the BEST gift we can receive!!
I went to visit four of my grandchildren in Northern California this southern winter. They look wonderful.. I do not *sad sigh*.
