Train through the desert

.

I have been away.
Tuesday I rode the Beer Sheva-to-Tel Aviv train for the first time.
Today,  Friday afternoon, I glimpsed the train from my Jerusalem-to-Beer Sheva bus.

It is good now to return to little Meitar, but it was wonderful to be back in the Jerusalem Hills and Jerusalem for four days.
And there are plenty of new and interesting photos to show you.

We are finally getting some clouds to hide the sun and there is a tiny hint of coming autumn in the air.
I am so ready for a change of season!

It's not exactly what we want here, but I understand..:-)

  2. Looking forward to the new set of photos. I'm glad you enjoyed your time away, it's important to get that sometimes. I'm impressed by the desertic scenery. I don't think I could ever feel at home there.

  3. One of my (many) regrets is that I never took a train in Israel. One morning I missed the scenic route to Tel Aviv for two minutes...

  6. People always thought that except for Tel Aviv to Haifa or perhaps Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, the country was too minute for laying train tracks. I am delighted that was wrong. Laying your Beer Sheva train was a brilliant idea.

  8. Just catching up on your blog. Glad you are back. Loved reading about the milk and the fiddler on the roof stamps.

I love it when you include little things about the culture of daily living!
