  1. What a funny word. I never knew it was called like that in English. Mind you, I would be hard pressed to think of the Dutch word...

  3. Good word for W, Dina! The next few words are more difficult, beginning with X, Y and Z.

  4. with or without - what a difference it makes - we are very windless here at present and it feels hotter than it really is.

  5. Mara's comment is funny! Reader Wil's too, although I'm sure you'll find something creative for X Y and Z. Peace on you, Dina.

  14. I was just thinking today how leaves feel the sun and heat. Probably like your windsock.

Mom used to say the silver or underneath side of maple leaves meant there was going to be some rain fall. And it almost always happened that way.

I was taking some photos of my green ash tree -- a volunteer I almost dug out several times -- and was wondering how the leaves can stand up under this blazing sun?

  15. I saw a windsock just like this yesterday and thought of you. I saw your photo in my sidebar but hadn't been able to comment yet.
