  1. The Extra Large one is a terrific photo; I always enjoy looking straight up like that! Palm trees are great for these kinds of views...they look a bit like umbrellas.

  3. I love all the sizes. Palm trees are awesome, and one that provides dates is just perfect. I love dates.

  4. I really like dates. When I was in France we would get most of our dates from Algeria, the Deglet Nour but in Dubai, in the market, they had so many varieties of dates I had never seen before. I wish we grew dates around here, but I don’t think they grow in the US (am not sure though).

  5. This made me smile — thank you!

We have so many palm trees here, but surprisingly, no date palms. They're almost all coconut, though a few ornamentals are gaining popularity in the cities.

  6. Ok, so where's the package of dates we are expecting from you?

  7. Dina, is this your garden? If so, it looks like you've been gardening lately. Your flower beds are very tidy.

I like palm trees very much - they remind me of my hometown in Southern California. They're very majestic, however they offer little to no shade!

  8. Sara, I have a shot of that tree by night you'd like. I'll post it sometime soon.

    Thanks, Yogi and Richie!

Vagabonde, I think California grows dates.

Hilda, do the coconuts ever, like, just fall down, on your head? :(

Louis, oh no ... you have to come and pick it up in person. :)

FA, I think your last post inspired me to do this one.
MY garden? Haha, no way! My yard is a jungle. I only do garden work for my nun friends. LOL

  11. Impressive. I don't think I have ever seen them pictured this way. For us who know what a corn stalk looks like and that Palm trees are where Betty Grable lived, it is a revelation.

  12. I prefer the large, also to pick up the fruits (less fatiguing)!
