Bench for catnaps

.
The neighborhood stray cats have taken over the young neighbors' little sitting corner.

It is too hot for the kitties to do much else than snooze in the shade.

A peaceful picture for Camera-Critter Sunday.

  1. How lovely to have those catty nappers! I love cats. The benches are also great!

  5. Dear Dina,
We love following your blog. We just bought a new home and in Malta we have the custom to give houses a name. We would like to give it a Hebrew name to honour God but since we have no knowledge of the Hebrew grammar we were at a loss. Then you came to my mind! Would you kindly tell us if Yahweh Mishkan (Yahweh's dwelling place) is good Hebrew?

    Thank you so much
    Isabel

  7. They do tend to take over almost everything in the neighborhood, don't they? Thanks for the smile, Dina.

  9. It is the same here. Yesterday I found one in our shopping basket we forgot at the veranda..

  10. Shalom and thanks to all.

VP, yeah, the furniture is quite gross. The young neighbor-renters should cut some weeds and remove from the sofa the rotting figs that fell from the tree.

Isabel shalom. I love houses with names.
If you want to use those two words, you have to reverse the order: Mishkan Yahweh.
I should inform you, however, that Jews do not pronounce the ineffable name. (IF Yahweh is really the right pronunciation; it is only a guess.) But YOU can if you want to.
An alternative would be Bet-El (Bethel), meaning the house of God.

  12. Cats are enviable creatures. We humans might do well emulating "some" of their behaviors -:)

  13. I'd think everyone would want to snooze in the temps you've been suffering, Dina, not only the stray cats!
