Libby looked so little next to the gigantic poster on the outside wall of a baby goods store in Hadassah Ein Kerem.
My daughter brought Libby to meet the relatives in Israel last September, for just a short visit.
Now, back home in Australia, lovely Libby is up and walking and will celebrate her first birthday in two weeks!
.
In Hebrew the word libbi means "my heart."
.
Luckily for us, today is L Day at ABC Wednesday.

How wonderful for you all, and for 'libbi' - such a wonderful name for a grand-daughter. As I am in Paris right now, I have just a small inkling of how you must miss them so. When do you hope to next visit Sydney?
ReplyDeleteKay, yep, they grow so fast.
ReplyDeleteKarl and Roger, thanks. That poster was REALLY big.
Julie, welcome to the Northern Hemisphere. I have no travel dates planned, just the ever-present hope of seeing the kids soon either here or there. And my son and his son live in Los Angeles. In our family it would help if we had wings.
Aw, they grow too fast, don't they? My GD is already 3!!! And the GS is 7...

I love visiting your blog. The pictures of Jerusalem make me so homesick. We could live 120 years and never capture all the beauty and uniqueness of Jerusalem and all her people. She has many lovers. I am from Northern Israel, the hills of the beautiful Galilee at the top end of the Hula Valley.
ReplyDeleteLibi is lovely and I can surely say libi b'aretz.
I love "L Day!" Leif, my twin brother Luther, my mother Lois, my sister-in-law Libby........
