Mixed memes

.
With all the holidays and special events to blog about of late, I've gotten behind in the memes.
This may not be kosher, but I'm going to group three in the same post--for Shadow Shot Sunday, Weekend Reflections, and Camera-Critters.
.
At the Garden of Gethsemane, next to the old olive trees.
Doesn't it look like stick-figure people are joining hands and . . . and what?
.
Another scene from St. George's Anglican Cathedral, the church we saw in yesterday's post.
The Order of St. John of Jerusalem, or the Knights Hospitaller, was founded during Crusader times and functions as a humanitarian organization till today.
.
These birds feel at home in the (British) Jerusalem War Cemetery on Mt. Scopus.
Seen at the recent ANZAC Day commemoration.
.
Wishing you all a good weekend.
.
Update: Mayday, mayday! I just realized tomorrow is May 1 and we need a City Daily Photo Theme Day post too. About mailboxes.

Nothing wrong with "grouping". Love the shadow shot. It does look like stick figures holding hands. Happy Critter Day!

The shadowy stick-people are joining hands and singing, I think.
Excellent post, Dina. I never think to group my posts, so I'm all the time at the computer, which makes my husband crazy.

I especially like the cemetery photo. I have become quite fond of burial places, because they offer both times for reflection (about the brevity of life, mostly!) and opportunities to take interesting photographs.

A SEEKER OF SHADOWS

A seeker of shadows, they say,
Will keep her eyes peeled night and day
For resident shades
That haunt the dark glades
And never come outside to play.

You mixed these themes quite effectively, but the bird in the cemetery is my favorite image!

When it works out and my posts fit several memes, I definitely group them.

Nice photos. I have always wanted to visit Jerusalem. I've been to Greece and Turkey and in and around there but never quite made it to that part of the world.

I adore the shadow shot..and it does indeed look like people holding hands....and I don't see any dairy here so I think having the bird photo served with the other images is completely Kosher...unless this is a scavenger bird???
