Surprise shadow

.
I turned the corner at Terra Sancta College and its gate's sharp shadow greeted me.
It was a total surprise!
Link
Normally I take that route to the American library every Sunday
morning.
But this time I got there just after noon, and the angle of the sun gave me this nice bonus.
.
It made me think how important it is for variety's sake to try going to familiar places at unfamiliar times, at least for us photo-bloggers.
.
This shadow goes straight to Shadow Shot Sunday.

that's a fabulous shadow shot!!! and I agree, the sun's angle throughout the day gives us many chances to catch those shadows if we look for them! happy weekend to you Dina.

Shadowy surprises are some of the best kinds--assuming, of course, that you don't pass out from shock first!

MY SHADOWY FRIEND

My shadow and I are very best friends;
We walk hand in hand, though the sidewalk ends.

No matter the time of day or of night,
My shadow and I will always stick tight.

We don’t even think of drifting apart,
For shadow and I are one soul and one heart.

To have such a friend is heaven, you see,
For I love my shadow, and shadow loves me.

This is one of those special linear my-kind-of-shot. The way the shadow winds its way down the street is fabulous. You did a grand job with this capture. In a way it is almost art deco in my eyes. genie
